I Hate Those Ugly Capri Pants

Women of the U.S., please take note: 95% of you look awful in that horrid creation known as "capri pants." This applies especially to short women, and above all, to the older (50-60) women I normally see in these things. Please stop. I am looking at you and wondering what would possess anyone to don these unflattering poor excuses for "fashion." They serve no purpose but to make you look silly.

But really, beyond the poor fashion sense of the majority of American women, this capri pants fiasco points to bigger problems in society: that of hegemony. When we walk into a clothing store and immediately have the capri pant shoved in our faces, it merely points to the utter lack of choice. People wear them because the stores continue to sell them for some odd reason.
